How much does Närsorterat cost?
Your charge is made up of two parts that are added together. Calculate what your household will pay below.
Prices apply to a standard subscription with two four-compartment bins (2×370 litres), per year and including VAT. You will receive an invoice every two months.
What’s included in the charge
- Two four-compartment bins – no need to buy your own
- Scheduled collection – Bin 1 once a month, Bin 2 twice a month
- Paper bags for food waste
- Collection of packaging and newspapers from your home – no need to take them anywhere
Adapt to your needs
The two four-compartment bins suit an average household, but every household is different – and the amount of each type of waste you produce can change over time. If you have little waste and don't use the full capacity of your bins, you can share bins with a neighbour. The capacity is then adapted to your needs, and you share the cost of collection.
If one type of waste increases temporarily – for example paper packaging around the holidays or after a big shop – you can leave an extra bag out on your regular collection day, from SEK 50. If you need more space over a longer period, for example more paper packaging with teenagers at home or more residual waste with children in nappies, you can order an extra bin that is emptied together with your regular bins, from SEK 300 per year.
The recycling centre is staying – it's the roadside containers that are being removed
The recycling centre – where you take things that don't fit in your bins at home, such as bulky waste, garden waste, electronics and furniture – will remain just as it is today.
The recycling station – the roadside containers for packaging – is being removed. Instead, you'll sort your packaging at home in the four-compartment bins.
If something ends up in the wrong place, we'll first leave a note explaining what went wrong. For repeated or major errors, a sorting error fee is charged (SEK 250–500 for four-compartment bins).
